PARENT CODE OF CONDUCT

Guideline for parents, families, and fans attending youth sports games and practices:

  1. Remember that children participate to have fun.
  2. Be a positive role model for your child and encourage sportsmanship.
  3. Teach your child to play by the rules and resolve conflicts without resorting to hostility or violence.
  4. Demand that your child treats coaches, officials, and other players with respect regardless of race, creed, color, sex, or ability.
  5. Teach your child that doing one’s best is more important than winning.
  6. Praise your child for competing fairly and trying hard.
  7. Promote the emotional and physical well-being of athletes ahead of your personal desire to win.
  8. Respect the officials and their authority during games.

PLAYER CODE OF CONDUCT
  1. Play by the rules and respect the decisions of the officials.
  2. Treat opponents with respect and dignity.
  3. Respect the integrity and judgment of coaches.
  4. Refrain from using abusive language or gestures.
  5. Accept victory with humility and defeat with grace.
  6. Promote teamwork and cooperation among teammates.
