PARENT CODE OF CONDUCT
Guideline for parents, families, and fans attending youth sports games and practices:
- Remember that children participate to have fun.
- Be a positive role model for your child and encourage sportsmanship.
- Teach your child to play by the rules and resolve conflicts without resorting to hostility or violence.
- Demand that your child treats coaches, officials, and other players with respect regardless of race, creed, color, sex, or ability.
- Teach your child that doing one’s best is more important than winning.
- Praise your child for competing fairly and trying hard.
- Promote the emotional and physical well-being of athletes ahead of your personal desire to win.
- Respect the officials and their authority during games.
PLAYER CODE OF CONDUCT
- Play by the rules and respect the decisions of the officials.
- Treat opponents with respect and dignity.
- Respect the integrity and judgment of coaches.
- Refrain from using abusive language or gestures.
- Accept victory with humility and defeat with grace.
- Promote teamwork and cooperation among teammates.
